CANELLI HOUSE SORRENTO

Perfect central location. Comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom. Convenient to have the kitchen for morning coffee etc. Host is incredibly nice, helpful and accessible. Safe for a solo traveler.

I had some issues with the bathroom upon arrival with a septic odor, a facilities person had to come twice to fix it. Seems like a one-off problem but definitely not ideal. Host was helpful though. And I’d say bring an eye-mask because the natural light comes right in in the morning.

Location is excellent. The bathroom is very good, all necessary tools are in. We expect high cleanness, and we found it here. Owners were promptly responding via SMS. With their instructions, finding the place was actually easy, we did not have the trouble other reviews reported.

There is not much room, so they have a table hanging from the wall — unfortunately that table can't hold much weight. Keys are many and we fetched them from a small key box: putting them back on checkout took us some minutes and a few Italian cursing. Now the big thing: as mentioned elsewhere, one of the keys needs to be in a sock for the electricity to work; if not, no electricity, including the water boiler. In addition, the water boiler plug was switched off. Result: get back home in the night and enjoy cold shower, or delay our bed time by two hours to figure out the hot water and let it warm up (one of us got it cold, the other waited for lukewarm). This is something deserving a big instruction sheet on the door; instead, no mention of this from the owners, costing 2 points in the rate. Noise comes from outside, a better window would help but probably not fix that fully. We did not hear the guest in the other room. I miss the direct contact with the owners, just for the warmth dimension.

Very clean, GREAT location, very spacious for two people. Host was very quick to respond to messages. Aircon worked very well. Looked exactly like the photos.

It was a little pricy but it is Sorrento and it was right off the Main Street. The windows aren’t sound proof so we could hear everything from the streets, wasn’t a problem for us but it may be for others who are light sleepers.

Very central and easy location. Well appointed, very clean. Nice modern bathroom and even a bidet. Great shower pressure. Ready to find walking from train station, felt very safe for woman and daughter travelling alone.

Sorrento is noisy. People are out late and loud, church bells in the morning, aerobics class and daycare centre nearby but that will be everywhere there. This was a lovely property to stay in, easy to get to and next to lots of eateries and interesting beautiful buildings.

Clean, a very nice bath room, great location. Didnt meet the host but communicated through message. They were very responsive and answered all our questions. There is no elevator, like most places in Italy so you will have to carry your luggage but it's only about two sets of stairs. Lots of spare towels and mattress was firm. Thank you host.

Unfortunately being central, it was very noisy, probably because it was the weekend. It was quiet between about 1.30am and 6.30am before we heard people out and about again.
