The staff were great especially when our group had an illness. They stepped up well!

My room and bathroom was tired and needs updating. Even the fan didn’t work when using the shower and set off alarms!

Access very easy. Fortunately to secure parking 20 metres away. Reception staff very helpful. Dining was a real.pleasure with views of estuary. Quaint pub beside theses was very special.

Very comfortable room. Great breakfast.

Food in the evening was delicious service was atrocious lovely waitress so apologetic but it wasn’t her fault it needed extra staff

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Hafen, unser Zimmer hatte Blick aufs Wasser. Der Raum selbst war angenehm groß, das Bad etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das Gebäude ist ein sehr alter Bau, mit schmalen Gängen, steilen Treppen und niedrigen Decken, passend zum Ambiente eines Fischerdorfes. Dafür war das Hotel im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels auf unserer Reise ausgesprochen preisgünstig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat uns bei der Auswahl des Abendmenüs sehr gut beraten.

Der Ablauf des Abendessens gestaltete sich etwas schwierig. Man musste alles einzeln bestellen und immer vorab an der Bar bezahlen. Dafür war die Qualität des Essens dann aber gut. Das Frühstück hat uns dagegen nicht so gut gefallen. Es gab nur eine kleine Auswahl an vorgefertigten Frühstücksmenüs. Der Kaffee war nicht frisch gebrüht, es gab nur Instant Kaffee.

Tim and Keira were great when I had an unexpected health issue

I was one of three guys travelling on motorcycles, and Aberdyfi worked well as a base from which to explore the roads of north and mid-Wales. The staff at the hotel were welcoming, pleasant and helpful throughout our three night stay. We each occupied what I believe were described as 'budget' double rooms, which were fine for single occupancy, but if you are travelling as a couple you might find them a little on the small size. There was a good choice of breakfast options, both continental and the full monty. There was plenty of choice on the dinner menu, with good sized portions at sensible prices. Overall very pleased.

The hotel doesn't have its own parking, which car users may find a little awkward, although there is limited street parking close by and a public car park a short walk away. If you are a motorcycle rider (as we were), it was far less of a problem. Personally I felt the decor was need of some attention in places.

when eating - the table next to us on arrival was empty and had dirty plates, it was never cleared during our meal. staff were lovely but could be more on the ball with clearing away tables inside and out. they seemed to be short staffed on my stay.
