Very nice. Clean and comfortable. Good location, although the hill from the town is very steep.

"We found the property very quiet and in a location that suited our requirements."

9.0

The property owner provided free fresh milk in a fridge on the ground floor. This was accessible 24/7. The key access facilities were explained well by email and worked well.

Our room was on the third floor, only accessible by stairs. As we are able bodied this was not a problem but for less able, prior knowledge of the room location would be useful.

"Perfectly comfortable, but has lost some charm"

7.0

I had room 3 to myself and it was huge and very quiet. Also, even though I was a single occupant, I was given 3 sets of towels, which was very generous. I liked being able to grab more supplies from the cupboard on the ground floor. The location is very convenientโ€”a short walk to the town center one way, or Durlston Park and the coastal path the other way. The self check-in and check-out were very easy, and I preferred having my room NOT made up every day. Also, the lighting in the room is excellent for reading in bed. Also loved that the tea in the room was PG Tips, my favorite.

I have been staying at the Limes for decades, and I loved sitting in the little snug bar talking with the previous owners, who were incredibly friendly. I am sorry the bar is gone, and that I never saw the present owners during my whole 3-night stay. I did meet the present owners when I stayed at the Limes six years ago, and the breakfasts they served were fabulous, especially the eggs Benedict and Royale. Now those breakfasts are gone, too. The Limes is still very clean and comfortable, but I had to ask for heat when the room was too cold.
