Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Vancouver

The staff would not let me use booking.com reservation and made me book through them and then I was charged twice!

Staff. No bedding and it is freezing and the heater didn't get the room warm. Under construction. The shower head would not move and was set for my chest area vs my head.

The price seemed good. Until you realize there is a huge homeless encampment that you literally have to drive through to get to the motel. Like the driveway. Then it is supposed to have a pool for the kids nope. People smoking weed outside the front door. Just felt shady unsafe like whoa

Honesty

Lily the gal at the front desk at night was fantastic the entire time she was accommodating and she could be she brought me a shower chair towels works on my reservation to make sure that she could check me in for two nights instead of 5:00 and absolutely did everything she could to ensure that I was comfortable the condition of the facility is not Lily's fault it needs to be duly noted everywhere if this is happening at one of the hotels listed on booking.com as well as the deposit issue

Was a nightmare from the beginning it took a long time to check in because the inflexibility of their being able to change dates because of booking through booking.com. once that was handled I came to my room at which time I discovered that the internet only stays on for about 15 seconds and then turns off again. I'm in business owner and just spent 3 weeks in the hospital my intention was to catch up on 3 weeks of work because it's costing me money not working I have not been able to do one thing having to do with work. In addition to that there has been absolutely no TV because it's smart TV connected to the internet which is so incredibly unstable it's ridiculous as I said it goes off about every 5 to 10 seconds. Also the entire building is under construction and the pool and spa were never open I chose this facility because of the indoor pool and was looking forward to being able to do some physical therapy low impact in the water that also did not happen the biggest one is the $200 deposit that they keep for 7 to 10 business days. I've been on the phone with booking.com since yesterday probably 6 or 7 times trying to find a solution because I need that 200 deposit tomorrow when I check out so I can go pay for a room at a different location. I have been assured from booking.com multiple times I will get an email and if I don't get an email within 30 minutes someone will call me this is also happen five different times I've never received an email or a phone call and always end up calling back while the booking.com customer service agents are fantastic I am tired of repeating the same story over and over and over. The last time I spoke with an agent which was about 8:00 this evening 12/16 booking.com assured me that they would refund me my $200 deposit if I provided proof that it had been charged my account which I have done. I'm getting ready to make another phone call to booking.
