The room was pretty comfortable

The staff. Checking in checking out was a freakin nightmare. No one communicates anything to each other. Took a whole entire hour just to check in. For what I paid per night, this was unacceptable.

We live in Tokyo and visit Hyatt Guam at least once a year (sometimes more) for a full week stay. We are family of 6 with 4 children (ranging from 3 - 13). Staff is always super friendly and helpful, great pool and beach facilities and decent food options at reasonable price for on prem dining. Kids love the pool and beach is nice but if you want really good snorkeling will need to go to other nearby locations. Only negatives that come to mind for us are: - parking can sometimes be a challenge as the hotel is a popular dining/event venue for locals & visitors - at times, you come back from a full day out with tired kids at 4:30-5pm and housekeeping is just getting started in your room. - No complimentary beach chairs or umbrellas for guests. There are some there but the charge $10/hour. Not really that big of a deal but would be nice. We've stayed at several other locations in Guam and Hyatt is definitely our favorite. Nowhere is perfect but if ever any issues, they are quick to resolve. All in all very pleased and will continue coming back.

Great location and wonderful staff. Hyatt has great options for meals at the hotel and options for quick on the go treats.

My stay at the Hyatt Regency Guam was disappointing overall. The staff seemed to have very limited knowledge about the property’s amenities and activities over several days, I asked about a tree-lighting ceremony and no one was able to provide any information. The pool area is also in rough condition. The surface is so coarse that it’s uncomfortable to walk on barefoot, and the slide is poorly maintained, I and every other person I saw using it got stuck halfway down. Housekeeping did a good job keeping the room clean, but they were unfamiliar with basic amenities like a garment steamer, which was another letdown. Overall, this hotel is fine if you just need a place to sleep, but I recommend securing the lowest rate possible well in advance, as the experience didn’t justify a higher price.
