Bintang Penida Resort

Op een kwartiertje rijden van de haven ligt deze prachtige locatie. Vanaf de weg kijk je op het restaurant en daar is ook een zwembad (waarvan ik me afvraag of iemand dit gebruikt). De accommodaties liggen achter het restaurant en zijn prachtig! Niet alleen qua vorm, maar ze zijn rondom het (tweede) zwembad gebouwd. Heel erg sfeervol! De villa's (wij hadden nr 8 en 10) zijn waanzinnig mooi ingericht; beschikken over een goede klamboe; de bedden zijn huge (!) en de airco doet het voortreffelijk. Koelkastje ook aanwezig. Buitenbadkamer. Over de huisjes/kamers zijn wij heel lovend!! Over de rest ook :-) Bij de accommodatie kun je een scooter huren. Niet overbodig op dit eiland. Kwartiertje scooteren naar Crystal Bay (klein strandje) om de sunset te zien; 40 minuutjes scooteren naar Kelingking Beach (dit lijkt lang, maar neem van mij aan dat dit met een taxi/auto nog veel langer is). En het is een half uurtje scooteren naar Goa Giri Putri tempel (de grottempel). Je rijdt langs de kust en deze weg is (in tegenstelling tot de weg naar Kelingking beach) heel erg goed. Met een beetje geluk zie je mount agung liggen. Nadat wij de tempel bezocht hadden zijn we naar beachclub Cactus geweest om daar lekker te zwemmen/chillen/eten. Een aanrader. Terug naar Bintang... het eten (zowel ontbijt als avondeten) is er heerlijk en niet duur. De mensen die er werken zijn zo lief. Door het dodelijke bootongeluk die week, hadden wij wat stress of onze boot naar Bali wel zou varen (iedereen moest boten omboeken, waardoor het overal in alle havens heel druk was en wachttijden lang waren). Juney heeft ons daarbij fantastisch geholpen! De was laten doen kan op 1 minuut scooteren; lekker en sfeervol eten kan ook bij Kima Bay. Ook op scooterafstand. Transfer van en naar de haven kan via Bintang. Ik zou deze plek zeer aanbevelen!

You can hear the whole nature around but also the neighbors and locals. Some nights there was a bit of noise but understandable.

Some noise from conversations of other rooms and guests or locals and staff. I would suggest a sign to ask guests to enjoy nature sounds and be mindful about other guests.

Great spot! 2x swimming pools, a restaurant, comfortable and spacious bungalows, rental scooters, a shop next door, with lots of great eateries nearby, too. Lovely staff & awesome Balinese massage in your room. Best snorkeling beach nearby at Gamat Bay. And Amok sunset restaurant & bar is worth the visit. Highly recommended!!

Peaceful beautiful surroundings. The food was very good. The staff were all very friendful and helpful. The rooms were cleaned daily. Excellent value for money. Perfect location.
