Batur Sunrise Guesthouse

We arrived around 13. 00 and nobody was expecting us. We booked a bungow and we got a room in a building at the first floor, was the worse experience we ever had in our life. We called immediately the manager and claimed the full refund. The swimming pool was empty, they begun to fill it up after our arrival. We asked for a taxi a d they arranged it very fast. So, our stay was around 30 min, we had to fight witj thousands of flies, the room was fuul of flies, the wardrobe was in the bathroom, horrible...

All, somebody should check sometimes what they promise in internet and what you find in real, I hope we will get the full refund but the day lost, the money paid for the taxi, to get there and then to escape from this nightmare we will never get back...

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le jardin et le bassin connecté à une source chaude directement sur place. Nous y avons passé énormément de temps avec les enfants ! C'était aussi très proche d'autres sources chaudes (à pied) et d'un très bon resto à 2 minutes.

La quantité de mouches est vraiment incroyable mais c'est sur toute la région. Si vous prenez le petit déj sur place, mangez dans le balcon de vos chambres et pas dans le jardin, il y en aura un peu moins. Et choisissez des restos avec des vitres, surtout si vous mangez du poisson ! Nous avons eu un peu de mal aussi avec les chiens sur place, qui sentaient vraiment trop fort et se collaient à nous dès qu'on allait manger.

We had a room next to a water pump, it was very noisy, we heard clicking every single time someone used water.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und immer bemüht zu helfen und wünsche zu erfüllen. Auch die Lage war sehr gut und gute Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Die Gartenanlage und der Pool waren sehr schön. Der Pool ist schön warm.

Das Zimmer ist sehr feucht und stark renovierungsbedürftig. Der Schimmelpilz wächst aus der Wand. Mehr als 2 Nächte gehen nicht. Das Bad ist ebenfalls nur mit Schuhe zu betreten. Keine Ahnung wann der Boden das letzte Mal gereinigt wurde.

This is hard for me. I have never said this before: I cant really say how my stay was, as I turned around and walked out. Let me be very clear, the owner ( who I spoke on the phone with) seemed accommodating and apologetic for the confusion on my arrival. Like nobody knew I was coming. Some unknown woman immediately approached me asking for passport & payment. (It was prepaid through booking.com) the property seemed sort of nice. But I tell you, I don’t know when those pictures were taken for booking.com. But the bungalow I was shown to looked absolutely nothing like them. Maybe 15 years ago. I have stayed in hostels and all sorts of stars hotels. So for me to walk out and forfeit the entire cost - immediate book something else- says everything. Note to booking.com - mandatory update of pictures every couple of years.
