Hyatt Place Vacaville

The bed was comfortable and the place was clean

This was a good hotel. The young man at the front desk was very friendly and helped us in a nice and professional way. There were luggage carts available, which was very helpful because we had a lot of bags with us and could bring everything up to the room right away. The hotel was quiet and the location was good. We did not hear much noise, which made the stay comfortable. The pool also looked very nice and well maintained. Unfortunately, the weather got a bit colder the next day, so we did not get the chance to use it. Overall, this was a good and quiet hotel with friendly staff, useful facilities, luggage carts available, and a nice pool area. Apart from the breakfast and the hallway issue, we do not really have much to complain about.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. The eggs did not seem freshly made and tasted like they came from a carton or premix, especially the scrambled eggs. We noticed this in several hotels in America, and it is definitely something hotels could improve. The laundry facilities were useful and not too expensive, so we were able to do our laundry. However, because the hotel is quite large, it would be better to have more machines available. There seemed to be only one washer and one dryer available, which means you have to wait for other guests. The only real negative point was that someone had left a pizza box and a can of cat food in the hallway. This made the hallway smell quite bad, and unfortunately it was still there the next morning until housekeeping removed it. This should have been cleaned up earlier by staff or security walking through the hotel in the evening.

We actually stayed at the Hyatt House, there was something wrong with Hyatt place and maintenance had closed the hotel so they moved us to the other one.

We called to confirm the day before and they said that they had moved us. It was a little disconcerning that we weren't notified earlier.

No spa and no bar tender as well as too expensive food from front counter grossly overpriced

We did not eat breakfast this time. We have previously tried breakfast and it was great. Location is perfect near the folks we are in town to visit.
