The location is great and that's where it stops. 1. The free breakfast is probably a 2 - 4 on the 10 scale due to measly selections, no cereal save for packets of oatmeal, horrible coffee in paper cups and lastly easy-to-break plastic utensils. 2. The room was ok. The bed had a foam topper on top of the mattress with a poorly fitting bottom sheet that got wadded up each time you turned over or got up. The bathroom came with one washcloth, towel and hand towel for TWO people with an advanced reservation. There was also one, tiny silver dollar sized piece of soap for the entire bathroom! Boo There was NO wastebasket in the main room, but yet a mall one inside the poorly appointed bathroom. The faucets were also very dated. 3. Would we stay here again? NO - especially for the price paid even with an online discount.

It was such an intriguing place, so I chanced it. They have the friendliest and most helpful staff! I was surprised by the best hot tub. Breakfast in the atrium is amazing! Learning the history of the place was the coolest!

The staff at the front desk was very friendly when we checked in at 8 PM. However, the room was not ready and we had to wait for 20 minutes for the room to be ready. Then once inside the room we realized how small the beds were. Definitely not twins definitely not queens and as my son put it, princess size. And once my family took showers the room became so humid it was unbearable. The most disturbing thing about the hotel, was the parking situation. You had to find parking in a downtown environment and on a Friday and Saturday night it was extremely difficult to find parking near the hotel. The local area appeared to be very unsafe and in the morning when I went out to go get my car, I encountered an unruly gentleman who is in a full on fight with the clouds. Definitely would not recommend this hotel unless you were staying for one night and it was the only hotel available in the Ventura area.

Place is tired. Need more staff. Waited 20 minutes for someone to show up to check us in because there was a toilet issue.
