Wakamizusou

The onsen was great. Super cozy and spacious

It was a charming stay. The room had a toilet and a sink. Showers were shared. Everything was very clean. Water pressure was great, wifi strong. The staff is super nice and helpful.

Note that there is no lift and rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor if stairs can be an issue for you.

We stayed in a traditional Japanese room with tatami mats and futon bedding with a beautiful garden view and a small cherry blossom tree just outside the window. The host was very helpful and arranged luggage transfer for us. I highly recommend renting a bike and going around Lake Kawaguchi or taking a walk, as there are many great viewpoints of Mount Fuji nearby. You can also see it from the terrace upstairs. The onsen was excellent too. Wakamizusou is a perfect place to relax and experience Japanese culture.

We had a very pleasant stay at Wakamizosou Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko. What we liked most was the traditional Japanese tatami room, which gave the experience an authentic and relaxing atmosphere. The facilities were very clean, including the onsen and public spaces, which were well maintained and comfortable to use. The location is excellent, right in front of the lake, offering beautiful views and a peaceful setting. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay, even though their English was quite basic—they still made a genuine effort to assist us whenever needed. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are tall (I’m 193 cm), you may need to be careful with the low ceilings in certain areas. Aside from that, it was a wonderful stay and a great place to experience traditional Japanese hospitality

Room is big, and location is great, walking distance from the ropeway. I walk to the hotel from the train station, but there is also public bus to a nearby stop from the hotel. didnt take bus as it is too crowded when i first reach the train station. it was easier to walk here. there is also washing machine and dryer too

onsen is abit small, but everything else is great
