The Carolina Inn, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel

Liked the central location

Sunday brunch staff table service needs improvement. We arrived for brunch seated and were on our own from there. Had to ask for toast had to ask for coffee refill even had to ask for a bill

The perfect place to stay in the southern part of heaven. The service the space the rooms the people all of it is excellent

Great location and have beautiful hotel. The cookies are amazing, the staff is friendly, and just overall a great place to stay close to campus

Beautiful hotel. However the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful and kept passing me from one person to another to respond to my requests. In they end they couldn't accommodate a birthday dinner at the time I needed it, despite me having emailed in advance requesting this. The hotel felt much more geared up towards corporate events rather than attempting to provide a comfortable and welcoming guest experience.

As always, our time at the Carolina Inn was wonderful. The hotel is right on the campus so we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We stayed for a weekend and never moved our car. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Can't wait to come back!

Much more geared towards corporate events rather than individual travellers. Staff not very knowledgeable for special requests.

The location is great, right in the heart of the Unc campus. The common area of the hotel is very nice and tastefully decorated, but the beds in the room arent very comfy and you can constantly hear noise coming from the hallway. Sunday Brunch was mediocre for the price you pay, most of the selections are pastry/dessert items.

Was booked here by UNC for a work event. Lovely property! Luxurious and convenient. The one thing that bugged me was that more than one staff member seemed to be soliciting me to hang out with them 1:1. What started as friendly small talk while waiting for a ride in the pick up area quickly became comments on my appearance and expression of desire to have a drink with me. Like within 2 sentences. As a (obviously married) woman traveling alone, this makes me uncomfortable when initiated by hotel staff. I get that consenting adults can do what they want, but it should be hotel policy that staff are never to initiate flirtations with a guest. Just the fact that staff have access to information, key cards, etc. puts travelers in a position of trust.
