"Great pre cruise experience"

8.0

Stayed here the night before boarding a cruise from Long Breach (the terminal is literally to it). I loved the period look and feel of the property - almost like living in a museum piece. It was great to wander around at look at the exhibits. The room itself was relatively spacious, but you need to remember that these used to be ocean liner cabins (albeit before we started to pack people in like sardines)

I arrived quite late, and the only thing still open was the bar which was very full - I'm not sure if there was an event on but I got the impression that there was. My options for food were then the small shop on board or doordash. While the location is excellent for pre/post cruises, I didn't find that there isn't much else in the immediate vicinity within walking distance (but lots in town across the bridge)

"Zu empfehlendes Hotel mit grosser Geschichte"

8.0

"A fabulous step back in time!"

7.0

We had stayed on the Queen Mary before, 20 years ago, and it's obvious that it's had a refurb in the public areas since then. The room was huge, with a port-side view, albeit from a tiny, very high up, porthole, but it was too big in some respects, as it had a vast space in the middle of the room! Wandering around the ship during the day was so interesting and there were little displays of times gone by at every turn! It is such an fascinating and historical ship and there is just so much to see. I can highly recommend the evening 2 hour Paranormal Tour, which was really interesting and entertaining and the gentleman tour guide was absolutely brilliant, knowledgeable and great fun! And it took us into areas of the ship that are not open to the public unless you're on a tour. Dining options were good, if a little pricey, but the food was well presented and tasty, We had lunch in the Promenade Cafe and dinner at the Observation Bar. This is not a cheap place to stay, but it really is a very special and unique experience and well worth "pushing the boat out", so to speak, for the historical aspect alone.

The room was obviously furnished with the original 1930's furniture, fixtures and fittings, which was great, but equally that came at a price, because the wardrobe doors wouldn't stay shut, drawers were stiff and the paintwork and decor was more tatty than period, in our room, at least. And the bath, whilst very in keeping, and obviously original, was stained and very uninviting, so we didn't use it, nor the shower over the bath. Although I do appreciate that it is part of the charm of staying on a historic old ship, but the state of the bath was just a step too far for us!

"I for the price I paid for 1night, I’m afraid that I will not being staying again."

6.0

The room was to my liking. I expected the rooms to be better than what I saw. They make enough money to make the more presentable. Needs renovations

Needs renovation in the rooms and better clean carpets and fix the wholes along the baseboards inside and outside the rooms

The staff and facilities were great. The free tour was fun and educational.

The lack of parking was a problem.
