Sleep Inn Springfield South I60 near Medical District

Very old property that needs updating. Staff was friendly but I rate at 5/10 overall.

After a bad experience at another hotel nearby, we were so relieved to find Sleep Inn. The difference was night and day. The room was clean, the atmosphere was quiet and safe, and the bed was comfortable — exactly what we needed. Breakfast in the morning was surprisingly good, with a nice variety to choose from. The whole place felt well-kept and welcoming. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone passing through Springfield.

Checked in, gave a $150 deposit, got to my room and walking on a pillow was a fat female bedbug. Only means eggs were laid somewhere in the bed. I notified front desk and requested a refund, they said I could not get a refund because I had booked through a third party. Then started to gaslight me saying the were summer bugs and that she ( receptionist) had not seen a bedbugs when she checked the room. She told me she looked everything on the bed and found nothing. Husband was waiting for her in the room and says she did not move anything on the bed, just looked in the corners of the bed. Then her and the manager had a conversation over the phone and I could hear her telling him the sheets in the picture were white but that it looked like a summer bug. Exactly what would I gain from showing a picture of a bedbug and requesting a refund if it wasn’t true??? We had been driving for over 10 hours and all we wanted was a decent bed to sleep in. Long story short , left to another hotel with NO refund and they didn’t even want to release my $150 for incidentals from my CC, receptionist stated she had zero authority to do that. Room 226 to be exact !

Comfy, clean, easy to get to all attractions. Breakfast was minimal but fine.

We live locally but needed a place to stay after a storm did extensive damage to our home. We’d had a very long and exhausting day. Staff was friendly and efficient, the room was spotless, shower was great and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

We booked two double bed rooms for our family after seeing the lower rates and reviews that seemed good. The front desk staff were kind and willing to help with any needs, but that is my only positive. The rooms were so small that we had trouble fitting a pac-n-play for our toddler anywhere except infront of the door. There is no tub, just a walk in shower. The toilet door was a sliding door and easy to pinch fingers. The walls were dinged up and scratched. The halls were dark and musty. The breakfast was not the best but it did save us from going out for food. The pool light was broken and had signs to stay away from it. The pool itself was dirty- dirt on the bottom and goant hair clumps floating on the surface. The hot tub was colder than the pool and the staff would not make it warmer or turn on the jets. Our keys were deactivated in the middle of our stay and the AC in one of our rooms kept randomly shutting off and the surge protector tripping. It was definitely a cheap stay but not worth the few dollars we saved. Won't return.
