Quality Inn Merced Gateway to Yosemite

Room was nice. Bed was decent

The AC and tv didn’t work and front staff was not helpful for fix it.

The iron holder didn’t fit the iron and came off the wall the carpet smell curtains was dirty side chair was dirty the fan in the bathroom didn’t work pillows need to be replaced worst hotel we ever stay in… and what’s happening to the pool area. Elevator was painted black covering up all that writing on the wallThank God I was only here for my son’s graduation. Wish I could attach pictures PLEASE REMODEL ASAP!!!

When getting there the sheets had rips in it . Walls was dirty. It was just dirty all around

We were placed in an accessible room that had not been prepared for us. This room should never have been occupied, the carpet in the room was soaking wet from runoff from the shower. There was no phone, chair, coffee maker, or clock. How folks would contact anyone if we had a problem was unknown. As I usually do, I placed my worn underware on the floor by where cloths are hung, they were soaking wet the next morning. There were no clathes hangers for handing trousers, only clip hangers, and if one used these for trousers, the trousers would have been wet. No effort was made on our behalf, although, we were offered a change of rooms but by then we were unpacked and only staying one more night. We reported the problems but except for being allowed to take the desk chair from the lobby, which I had to lift over the bed to get it to the desk, no change. This room should never be rented until the entire bathrooom and shower is fixed so the water from the shower doesn't flow onto the carpet in the room.

Garbage (beer bottles) in trash can. Shower rod was built badly with the ends being higher than the middle the curtain kept sliding down the rod and allowing water all over the floor.

Chill place

In Ridgecrest, there was easy access to the room. In Artesia, access to the room wasn’t easy, and the breakfast was lousy - complete with frozen waffles and sloppy, soupy oatmeal. In Merced, the door lock on the room was broken. Front desk staff had to accompany each time my wife returned to the room in order to unlock it with a master key.

When we check in the room that we got was not ready! I went down to let him know that and he gave us another room! And we checked in late

Overall, this was a great deal for the price. I would say this is a three star hotel. The pros are that it offered a full breakfast, was reasonably priced, and our room was pretty nice. The cons are that the bath/shower were a bit old and rundown with rips in the shower curtain. Also, the front desk clerk said that they would offer breakfast meat however, when we arrive for breakfast the next morning, no breakfast meats were offered. There was plenty of parking and the hotel staff was very accommodating and courteous. There is no pool as the pool area was boarded up. The hotel is situated in a moderate, middle income residential area. The hotel is conveniently located approximately 6 miles from the UC Merced campus, which makes it convenient if you’re staying in town to visit a student.
