Days Inn by Wyndham Ogallala

Old Hotel. Breakfast was not fresh. Coffee and fruit juices were watered down. Rooms were dark, not enough lighting. Not enough plug ins to charge your devices.

The maintenance of is very bad outlets don't work. Needs much better bathrooms. It's like they want to vharge high prices but let the place go down hill.

Man behind the desk could hardly speak English. Couldn't understand I wanted a bill printout with the final cost on it. Food was cold and no eggs. Ant in bathroom. No paper towels in bathroom by the desk. Man behind the desk said they didnt have any.

The staff was very friendly!!

Housekeeping could be better. Hair in bathroom & bathroom smelled.

Property was tucked away and maybe had 4 other guest when we were there. We were in a back room and only heard the guest above us as the water and pump through plumbing was very loud. The spot was good for traveling with my service dog as there was a gras spot behind. The desk receptionist was a bit gruffled when I checked in and had a child in the lobby climbing on a trash can in the lobby trying to reach the counters. The breakfast was bare with only waffles coffee juice and cereal as options. Good stay for traveling across country. Comfy beds and safe for the night.

Okay for the price. Bolt for door lock was missing.

I hate any hotel in the Wyndham chain. It used to be good but it’s been bought out by non-Americans. It is now synonymous with poor quality. We were on the bottom floor with a window with no lock. We had to put a hanger in the sill to make it harder to open. Then when I went to take a shower the knob fell off. We called management, waited only to be told they couldn’t fix it. We were told to just not pull on it. We had just finished an 8 hour drive, only to have to wait two hours for someone to tell us they could not fix the shower. The room was filthy. I don’t care if you’re traveling with dogs, but the hotels need to have specific rooms for that. My allergies were off the chart! I broke out in hives. Still wouldn’t move us to another room. I swear the entire family lives there! Not a good place. Pay the extra money, stay American.

I wish I could give this place negative stars. I booked a room for my husband and brother in law after a 600 mile trip for today, 3/5/24 @about 11pm. They arrived there and there was NO ONE at the desk. I phoned the reservation line, the gentleman there said he would try to call the hotel. My husband was there as the phone rang and rang. Whoever I had talked to hung up on me and so I put my husband on the line and called the reservation department. For almost an hour they were waiting and still no one came to the desk to check them in. The next gentleman I spoke to directed them to go to the Super 8 hotel, also owned by Wyndham a mile away after he was unable to reach anyone at the hotel. I have to wonder about the safety of guests at this particular hotel when there is no desk staff available. This is completely and totally unacceptable. Just in case the front desk staff had a medical emergency I even called the local police after my husband finally left to have them check out the hotel. The police called me back and said they also were unable to find anyone tending the desk at the Days Inn at Ogalalla.
