"Did not get the room we needed; rude manager"

We booked a room with 2 beds for 3 guests. When we arrived at the property, the manager told us that the room was not available, and she only had a room with 1 king bed left, which obviously would not fit 3 of us. She said that she never received Booking.com's reservation until earlier that day, when the room was already booked. When I told her that I would call Booking for help, she kept telling us that there was nothing Booking could do to help me, that she managed other hotels in town, and that everything in town sold out except for that King room at Days Inn, and another King room at another property across the street. I have 3 problems with this: 1. Her claim was absolutely not true. A Booking.com agent was able to reserve 2 king rooms for us at the Travelodge across the street. 2. Even if her claim was true, she could still have helped us by giving us the King room at Days Inn and telling Booking.com to book "the other King room across the street" for us. Instead she kept saying that nothing could be done. I was there when the Booking customer service agent called her -- she did not mention the solution at all and just kept insisting that nothing could be done. 3. After booking 2 King rooms at Travelodge, we got there and saw her there. Apparently she also managed that property. When we walked in, she told us again that they did not have 2 rooms, which was of course not true because we literally just booked them. The front desk agent was indeed able to give us 2 rooms. Overall we thought that she was rude and showed no willingness to help us. It was extra bizarre because as the manager of both Days Inn and Travelodge, she was in the perfect position to help, but instead she kept trying to shutdown all efforts to resolve the issue.
