The Inn on Maritime Bay, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Very nice

Great location on the harbor with walking access to lots of activities and restaurants.

Property had been updated nicely, nice little bar area, rooms were, quiet, comfortable, and clean.

Our room was over the pool area close to the lobby. First, we had pool noise until 9:30pm, then the room next to us decided to have a family gathering on the balcony. Worst was the three young couples that were partying in the lobby until 5:00 am in the morning. I called the front desk twice to get them to shut up, but that didn’t work. I’m wondering if they even had rooms there.

Nice location and view of the lake. Within walking distance to maritime museum, submarine, Carferry and several restaurants. Nice pool and hot tub.

The breakfast is not overly impressive, many motels have not only bagels, cereal, coffee and tea, but others -(as well as this hotel in past) pride scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and even biscuits and gravy. So breakfast cools be better to bring it up to many other motels better breakfast’. This lackluster breakfast is especially inferior when you consider the price, which is on the pricier side. The breakfast provided, was more like one you would have expected to get at a motel of the quality of a Motel-6. The cost for a night is probably at least 25 to 50 to high, to be competitive. I also did not see a phone number to call the motel directly, when you have a pre-arrival question that booking.com does not know the answer too. Also the pool was a bit colder than I expected, it could have been a little warmer.

Woke up and found bottom sheet had what looked like 2 blood stains. Complained to staff. Took picture to prove it.

Great location! Clean, walking distance to restaurants. Lovely area.

The sheets, pillows and pillowcases were covered in hair/ the new sheets also had hair on them

Beginning nearly a week before our reservation I inquired through Expedia for a one day change due to my wife's surgery date being moved up. No response. I then inquired about a credit for a later date. Still no response. I watched the reservation page and there were always rooms available. After the actual reservation date Expedia let me know that the Inn declined my request and I will be charged full rate for the room I didn't use. I've never had a hotel deny a date change before. When we do make it back to Manitowoc we won't be considering the Inn again. I'm not as disappointed in the refusal to reschedule as I am the refusal to communicate. Poor customer service.

The beds are super comfortable!
