The Anza-a Calabasas Hotel

You couldn’t ask for a better location. For anyone with a refined palate, the food is endless. Staff is impeccable.

The AC was broken and they needed to come twice to repair The mattresses need to be replaced with better The pillows are too big and should be replaced with down pillows or similar

Room and bed was comfortable.

Parking Fee added on to charges. Should be included in rate.

The hotel was nice and very clean, around a lot of good areas with stuff to do.

Unfortunately the end of our stay made us sure we would never stay here again. When checking in we were only supposed to be given a hold on our card for a security deposit of $150 but instead they put a hold on the entire sum of the stay. To my surprise when I woke up on checkout day I had not only a hold on my card of $680 I also was charged $515 additional. When complaint was brought up with staff they claimed it was just a hold and would clear within a week. Though we had another group with us and they were only given the $150 hold on their card. So here I am out if $1100 until it clears out and I receive my $680 back. 7 business days to get my money back on your mistake is unacceptable and I will honestly never recommend nor stay here again.

There was no breakfast.

The first room had really loud freeway noise and water was leaking in the entry from the air conditioner. The 2nd room had a very strong fragrance and the window was open with no screen. The 3rd room was good.

Room size was huge. Front of house staff were helpful. Lots of Car Parking space. Close walking distance to Old Town and the Commons retail park. Plenty of restaurants or fastfood outlets. Supermarket. Decent shower.

To be advised for others travelling. There is no restaurant on site. There is a small coffee shop, serving additional pastries until midday. The very small bar, connected was never open. Room. If you closed the door to the fridge, it became a freezer. Between 0530 - 0550 every morning the icemachine in the corridor would do a dumping cycle, extremely loud. If you asked housemaids to service your room, they would nod say OK. Twice asked for room service, across 8 nights, room was NEVER SERVICED once. Rooms closest to the freeway at rear had constant traffic noise.
