Property Notes

Half-board or full-board does not include drinks. In the low season, depending on the services, the buffet can be replaced by a menu. Half-board or full-board options can only be used on the day of departure upon request to the establishment. They cannot be modified during special events such as New Year's Eve or Valentine's Day without a supplement for the Gala. To expedite the check-in process and ensure a worry-free stay, the hotel may charge the total amount 48 hours before your arrival date for stays of 3 nights or less. If you do not show up, only one night will be charged, and the price of two nights will be refunded. For non-refundable reservations, 100% of the stay will be charged, and it cannot be modified or cancelled without a full penalty. Due to special gala events, dinner service will be unavailable in the hotel cafeteria on 24 and 31 December (every year) and 14 February 2026. Room service will be available until 18:00. The Roof Top and Boga may be closed for private events. Access to the Roof Top may vary throughout the year and is subject to availability upon request. The rooftop pool is warm to provide a pleasant temperature, but it is not a heated pool. "The 'full service' shower and the 'no service' pool bar: a tale of two realities"

Our recent stay at the Port Alicante City and Beach hotel was a delightful mix of top-tier comfort and "expect the unexpected" moments. The bed was comfy, the location is peaceful, and the vibe is mostly great. Cleaning was maintained to a high standard throughout the hotel and the reception staff, including some young female trainees we encountered, were all very pleasant and helpful. Our own room layout, however, was pure theatre. With the washbasin taking centre stage and a totally open-plan shower, stepping out is less of a morning routine and more of a "Tah-Dah!" announcement to your partner. It’s a very intimate design; just make sure you’re travelling with someone you’re happy to be extremely well-acquainted with! Likewise, judging by the dimensions of the toilet itself, it would seem that it was very much an afterthought, only serving to bring on feelings of claustrophobia whenever the door is fully closed. The pool is a great spot, though keep an eye (or a nose) out for the occasional "drain aroma" in certain areas. It’s the kind of scent that inspires a sharp, involuntary intake of breath for unsuspecting sunbathers. However, the real "breath-taker" was 'Maria Jose' at the pool bar. She initiated her own personal service boycott, point-blank refusing to serve anyone because she was "too busy!" She ordered the entire queue to wait 10 minutes for another staff member to arrive, a completely bizarre display of "anti-hospitality" that clearly underlines a desperate need for more staffing, and extra training in customer relations on her part! We would definitely return, but I would just make sure to pack a modesty cape for the shower and hope I'm not thirsty when 'Maria Jose' is having another mid-afternoon meltdown in the heat!
