Residence Inn Cedar Rapids

This property is average. We had an issue though with the room door access! We had to go to the front desk to change the card everyday! They told me many rooms were not having the same access issue! Also, the carpet in the corridor outside our room smells bad! But we enjoyed our stay overall. The was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and cooperative.

Property and rooms were run down, nothing like the pictures, carpet, hallways dirty, dead roaches outside the front entrance, dogs barking. I do not recommend

Overall room was very nice and comfortable. Disappointed that the pool was closed and has been for quite some time.

We needed to do some clean up in the kitchen. Traffic noise was bad. Kids screaming in next room occasionally. TV failed many times last night of our 21 day stay

Staff was excellent! Gave us good suggestions for dinner. The facility was very clean but needs updating.

Loved: Staff bent over backward to make our stay a wonderful experience. Didn’t like: Expedia did not provide us with pet fee info during booking so we were unprepared fir it when we arrived.

Nothing about the pictures matched the facility. The patio floor was tore-up. Caution tape surrounded the basketball court, backboard on the basketball hoop was broken. The carpet was stained. The room smelled. The toilet overflowed by itself in the middle of the night (and we never used it). The caulk job around the base of the toilet looked like a toddler did the job. I was told by management that they've had issues in that particular room (#120) more than once. In addition to the crappy "suite", there were water bugs in the shower. None of us showered as a result. There was a dead tree in the front yard of the hotel (that had been there no less than a week, based upon the note taped to the front desk explaining a week prior that a tree company would be out to clean it up). Not sure who they contracted to remove the tree, but it was brown and had been dead for quite some time. The exterior garbage cans were full and overflowing. There were 3 barking dogs in the room next to us that never stopped barking. I reserved a room large enough to accommodate 5 of us: my husband, myself and 3 children --- the two youngest didn't go with us, & given the size and state of the King suite, I'm not sure where the little kids would have slept. The pull-out bed was old and stained. The room was dated and the smell gave me a migraine. Dirty dishes were left in the dishwasher and management wouldn't move us. I left my information for the GM to contact me, but he never did.

Great value, very clean accommodations

Was clean, close to restaurants and the highway. The room was very nice

My stay was underwhelming. The room wasn’t bad, it was ok. The staff wasn’t bad, they were ok. The pool not working wasn’t too big of a deal. The grab and go breakfast wasn’t bad either, it was just ok. So overall, don’t go expecting to be blown away. Just expect everything to be ok.
