Baymont by Wyndham Texarkana

Location is right off I-30 which is great. Checkin process was horrible. At least 15 minutes. System is archaic and I had to sign at least 4 papers.

Staff is nice

It smells bad, the floors are sticky, there’s black mold all over the room, place smelled like stale cigarettes. Everything is disgustingly dirty. Black mold in the bathroom, black mold on the lamp shades, bathroom floors are disgusting, elevator was full of rocks and crumbs, bathroom sink was clogged and backed up, shower was so dirty we wore sandals inside, sunflower seeds in the hallway floor. I asked the receptionist to switch us rooms and she wouldn’t. Breakfast was so gross, it was prison food. We checked out four days early because the place was so uncomfortable, we went to a different hotel down the street. Didn’t even get handed a receipt at checkout and still got charged the full amount for a weeklong stay.

The was decent. The only real complaint was the pillows. They were kinda hard.

Hot water would be nice. Water in shower was barely warm.

Hotel was possibly one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to lay your head for the night.

No hot water after reporting issue at 4:40 the day before. Cold shower "will be reported to the manager" was the response at the desk. Also emergency exits were chained at both ends of the building. Dangerous situation and illegal.

The staff person at time of check in was incredibly rude. I was needing more understanding of the $100 deposit she was requesting from me, but instead of being polite and obliging, her tone went to defensive and demanding. It caught me off guard so I attempted to cancel the reservation before leaving the lobby and she got loud and asked in a very direct manner if i was going to go ahead and cancel. If it werent because we drove so far and was tired, i would've canceled. That being said, we were scared to use ANYTHING while in our room. At the front desk, it felt like going to visit someone in a detention center. Plexi glass in front of desk, FYI signs posted all over the plexi glass, the way I was spoken to... the major FYI sign was the sign for any damages cost. An entire list of any and all things in the room, including a washcloth damage fee of $10. It was insane. So we slept and left. Breakfast was a joke. We were in there at 5:55am. Breakfast starts at 6am. 2 hard-boiled eggs. 2 biscuits. 2 different dry cereals. 4 yogurts. Coffee and a pitcher of milk. They ONLY thing they had going for them was the waffle machine. Check out was smoother, but all and all, i will never stay there again. Did not feel welcome at all. My family spoke to 2 other families that morning and they also felt the same.

More landscaping is needed the weeds need to be gone overall there are small things that need done clean outside the room doors new carpet in entire hotel replace knobs on closet doors and fix hanging curtains that microwave in 209 need replacing loud noise and no rotation defrost refridgerator and clean now I will use it again the price was right just do some updates on those things I mentioned check the walls now that elevator was smelling so good but the floor and walls need deep cleaning

It ok staying there. The room was not in the best condition, but it was clean. The breakfast area didn't have much of a variety of food. It was ok for a one night stay, not for a multiple night stay.
