Shilo Inns Newport Oceanfront

Nice, basic hotel stay, but with beautiful ocean views. Very nice staff.

The property is definitely old and some paint, flooring & decor updates would go a long way. Our room was really big, it was clean, we had a fabulous ocean view, and it had a mini-fridge & microwave. The water never really got “hot”, but it was hot enough to not hate the shower.

Gorgeous view. Clean. Quiet.

The staff at the hotel was very accommodating and tells me that the hotel is due for a renovation come this fall.

Front desk people were not very nice, facility was trashy, wish I had stayed somewhere else for the price

This place is very old! there were holes in the walls and our tiny 20 inch tv had green lines going through the bottom. we also found a chili pepper on the ground (we were in a pet friendly motel so our dog could’ve easily eaten that had I not seen it.) The view was beautiful but there are some renovations that need to be done to justify paying $145 a night

The property is older and has a retro vibe. Rooms are older but clean. Quiet area and easy access to the beach. Walkable to restaurant at other hotel Cons: Restaurant at hotel closed, pool closed, tub wouldn’t hold water and beds hard.

The Shilo Inn is a gem on the Oregon Coast with an amazing view! Hotel is a bit dated, but everything works and our room was extremely clean. There was even covered parking and an elevator to help transport luggage from the car on the rainy day we were there.

The room and staff was great!

Loved our room and the location. It was big and the view was great. Building is old and dated. But still a great place to stay.
