The exterior was not as attractive as the interior

Location is very ideal, just next to the ruins of Herculaneum. The place was clean and comfortable. We received a really warm welcome. My wife got ill after the check out due to extreme heat. We were immediately offered an extension of our stay even if it wasn't planned. I really appreciate this kind gesture. Will definitely recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay in Ercolano. The accommodation is located in an old historic building that may not look particularly impressive from the outside, but inside it reveals beautifully modern and well-equipped rooms with everything you might need. It’s worth noting that the rooms are situated on the second floor without an elevator, and they face a fairly busy street, so light sleepers should keep that in mind. However, these small inconveniences are easily outweighed by the overall experience. The host is exceptionally friendly and willing to help at any time, always ready to share useful tips and local recommendations that you won’t find in typical guidebooks. This is an ideal place if you want to experience an authentic local atmosphere including the traditional Italian breakfast (coffee and pastry) served at a nearby bar—it’s a simple but genuinely charming way to start your day like a local. Highly recommended for those looking for a real taste of Italy.

Velmi elegantní pokoj a super výhledy (z okna na Vesuv a ze schodiště v chodbě na Capri). Snídaně se podává v kavárně za rohem, ale stačí nahlásit, že jste z Villa Cua, a dostanete kafíčko a sladké pečivo bezplatně. Vstup do archeoparku Herculaneum je cca 100 m od domu. Nedaleká zastávka vlaku leží na hlavní trase mezi Neapolí a Sorrentem.

Složitější doprava na ranní lety z Ercolana (nechcete-li taxiky atd.). Rada pro cestovatele na low-budget: někdy ve čtvrt na 5 ráno jezdil v dubnu 2026 autobus - a sice z kulaťáku Piazza San Ciro v Portici (ze zastávky vlevo od kostela) až na hl. vlakové nádraží Garibaldi v Neapoli. Z místa ubytování je to cca 20 minut chůze, ale pořád rovně (zhruba 1,5 km). Dopravce je EAV.
