Not very clean the bed sheets were dirty

I stayed at the Baymont by Wyndham in Davenport, Iowa. I was originally going to stay 2 nights, but then changed my mind as I was there for my brother-in-laws funeral. I checked out on the 14th of February, leaving the room key at the front desk by 10 AM. The manager said I should contact Booking.Com to make sure they knew of my departure. I also purchased insurance in case of a change in number of nights staying. Breakfast room was completely depleted by 9:15 am. I told the reservation desk, and that young man tried desperately to fill in supplies after the fact. When we checked in, there was a stained towel left on a towel hook in our room. It is unfortunate to have the same hotel housing two different names and quality levels in the same building.

We requested a first floor unit upon booking and were told that’s fine. We have pets and prefer 1st floor rooms for convenience. Not only were there no rooms on the 1st or 2nd floor but the property was very dirty and the start was HIGHLY unprofessional. We didn’t feel comfortable going in the room because of the sketchy characters in the parking lot so we returned our room key the same night. We were charged for a full stay despite not being on the property no longer than 2 hours. We had to reach out to our bank because the poor excuse for a property manager can’t process a refund. Save you money and go to the Best Western across the street
