NLLocation is very pretty. The garden is a great place to relax and enjoy the mountainous view. Small stroll from the main station in Brig.
This place was advertised as a hotel. In reality, it's more of a communal student house. The place is littered with passive-aggressive notes ("do your dishes, mama isn't here") which feels very unwelcome. There's an option to boil or microwave food in the communal space. You can't actually cook anything, because there is no central ventilation. The room was cramped and clearly meant for people going on a winter holiday. In the summer the room is scalding hot with very little possibility of relief. Beds were as comfortable as lying on a slab of concrete. Black mold in the communal showers. Breakfast really wasn't as good as the reviews made me believe. The owner insists on serving unripe fruit from the garden and the choice is quite limited. 400 euro for 3 nights and it was absolutely not worth it. I will remember the environment fondly, but Gästehaus Ursula, I'd prefer to forget.
I was late for check in but the staff waited till I arrive which saved me from staying in the car for that night. I got the room with the best view of the tower and garden so happy and thanks for the free breakfast too ☺️
CHThe garden is exquisite. What a privilege to be able to sit there and contemplate the views, read a book and enjoy the tranquility. Everything was very clean, the ambiance is very special and the breakfast was delicious

SKVery nice place to stay in Brig. We had family room with 4 beds - in fact it were two rooms - both large and comfortable with one common bathroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed wery much the garden situated just next to the castle - it is really very peaceful and calm place with specific atmosphere.
CHIt's a nice and quiet place, perfectly clean. My single room had a plenty of storage space and a convenient bathroom, recently renovated. In the middle of July, the room temperature was quite comfortable, even though there was no air conditioner. A spacious terrace offers an impressive view on the castle and the garden.
I wish there had been a bit more variety of fruit and/or vegetables proposed at breakfast.

FRCHWe have stayed here four times already. We love the simplicity of the rooms, and a shared WC and shower is no problem at all. The garden is lovely, and the location is the best.
