Amazing Accommodations: St Kilda

Turned up to the property late, and even though I paid in full months prior when I did arrive they had sold my room again to someone, had no where else for me to stop. This costing my more money to find last minute accommodation. The guy on reception was rude and unhelpful to say the least. It has been weeks now and I have not been offered any money back even though I have a screen shot from the booking.com website that says I should receive money back withing 7-12 days because they cancelled the stay. 1 out of ten

Proximity to public transportation. Clean towels, face washers and hand towels provided (the latter used as tea towels as there were none!)

Cleanliness - dirty grout in shower, dust on walls and skirting boards, the one saucepan had burnt food stuck to the bottom, melted and burnt cheese on the bottom of the oven, mould above cupboards in kitchen, dirty iron ruined clothes, dog poo on balcony, used cigarette butts left on balcony, crack pipe found in the unusable bedroom cupboard on our last day. Maintenance - broken powerpoint with exposed live wires found and reported on first day (fixed by electrician the next day), delaminating of kitchen cupboard drawers/doors, broken lock on external sliding door, broken blinds couldn't block morning sun on bed, broken kettle lid, frayed carpet, broken dryer knob, hole in wall, broken wardrobe doors couldn't slide, broken shower head, oven markings worn-off so couldn't set temperature, timer or settings, damage to skirting boards. General - only 1 key available, tiny, non-smart TV with poor reception, sunken dining chairs, no tea towels, no fly-screen on loungeroom window, insufficient bedding on beds (no spare sheets, pillows or blankets - the one blanket on the master bed was too small for the bed and very thin), no spare glasses, bowls, dinner plates or forks & no teaspoons! Unpleasant room odour noticeable upon each re-entry. In our opinion, this apartment is not fit for holiday accommodation.

The location was central for where we wanted to go. Washing machine and dryer inside the room was convenient.

Every inch of the carpets were filthy, not only stained but our feet were dirty from walking on the carpets. I have children so it was impossible to keep them off the filth of a floor. The lounge and cushions were stained. The fridge leaked water the entire stay, when we asked for someone to come look at it no one showed up. The kitchen facilities were next to none, no teaspoons and only a couple of tablespoons and forks. The dishwasher was on and full of someone else's dishes when we arrived inside which was 3 hours past check in time. Door handles falling off doors. The balcony was filthy covered in dirt on the ground and tables. Air-conditioned did not work at all, very disappointing as it was the middle of summer. We had to move our car around in the underground parking depending on who wasn't going to be there on any given day. When speaking to the manager about all these issues he seemed unaware of all the apartments faults, he didn't offer any compensation for this poor excuse of accommodation especially when we paid $1720 in total for our stay.

Very spacious apartment with washing facilities in room. Nice sized balcony with plenty of space to lounge around outdoors. Convenient location close to public transport.

Apartment needed a little maintenance. Washing machine wouldn’t complete a wash cycle. A few fittings and fixtures were broken. But these things didn’t impact on our stay, just a note to make staff aware.
