La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Marcos

Very old and worn down hotel. We did not feel safe here. The a/c sounded like a jet engine everytime it turned on. the beds were very noisy. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everyone in other rooms.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. First when I called if we could do an early check in we were not told we had to pay a fee for it. The gentlemen from the front desk said our room was ready anyway so it wouldnt be a problem. After driving 5 hours there the lady said there was no way we could check in without paying even though our room was ready. We finally checked into our room and it was super hot. The ac was preset and you weren't able to set it to the proper setting. The restroom floor was dirty and the blow dryer in the restroom didnt work and smelled like burnt. We did ask for another one and did get one. The front desk lady was super rude. We were also not advised that the rooms were in a different building and it didn't seem very safe at all. I have stayed at many La Quintas and this is by far the dirtiest and hottest one by far. Our stay was super uncomfortable. Luckily it was only one night. There werent other hotels available because of graduations so we were stuck there

You guys totally suck power outages. Before the graduation. No A/c no body could fix Internet or cable for the whole night into next day. Nothing to make up for it . Not a free stay or a free meal worst stay ever. Won't be visiting this hotel again.

This place is nothing more than an hourly motel. Wyndam really should be careful about establishments they allow to carry their name. this hotel is nothing more than an hourly motels for people to hook up. the rate I paid for this room is ridiculous and i was told by the clerk, before i ever step foot in the room the booking was non refundable. shady people in the parking lot, I was told their was no internet. I didn't see any type of security, people hanging out in their cars. just a overall bad place. terrible hard towels, and 1 small bar of soap.

On arrival tv didn’t work. Tried calling desk, but phone didn’t work. At night roaches around toilet and in the mornings roaches in bathtub.

Rooms need to put a lot attention .mold in bathroom,smells bad

Good staff, easy process for check in and checking out, and rooms are a good size.

I usually stay at La Quinta Inns when traveling for business. They tend to be clean and have good service, but this facility was very out of date. Rooms were dingy and old. There were holes in the wall, the TV didn't work and the bathroom was very outdated too. It was clean, but you could tell it was done with the bear minimum. At night there were people playing music outside or from their room. You could hear everything through the walls, people taking showers, walking around, even whole conversations. The customer service was lacking too. The staff were not welcoming or friendly. Overall, the whole place was just depressing. It looks like La Quinta bought an old rundown building and slapped their name on it.

After seeing the pictures online i was sure the hallways were indoors. This is not the case, though they have some "indoor" they also have some outdoor which made it feel like a motel 6 instead of a La Quinta. The room smelled musty, wet and smokey. Had i known id be receiving this type of room i never would've spent the $200+ i really would've rather slept in the comfort of my suv. I felt duped by the pics online. The flat pillows felt as if they'd been used for years, same goes for the mattresses. The bedding smelt like bleach and the walls and doors were dirty. Not satisfied, slept with one eye open...that was the vibe. The man at front desk was nice and polite.
