Family Villages Santorini

The weather and staff at Family villages were fine.

Design, clean, swimming pool, support. Location is great, close to beach and port. Nice restaurant around. Bus stop close by to go Fira or Oia.

Aleksandr and his staff were super accommodating and friendly. We had everything we needed in the apartment and he was kind enough to let us check out as late as we wanted!

Everything was great!

Set up in a quiet little corner of Vlychada, with only about 20 villas/rooms, this was the perfect spot for a relaxing stay. With all rooms being self-catering and close to the pool, your food and drinks were only steps away the times you just wanted to have a lazy day by the pool. Plenty of loungers, with pool towels provided, gorgeous surroundings with olive and pomegranate trees and shaded areas should you want them. The rooms - we had 2 next to each other - were perfectly laid out and each with its own unique style. Big bedroom with nice large bed, fold down couch (if needed), beautifully finished bathrooms and fully kitted kitchens with 2 ring induction hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle and full crockery, glassware, etc. A/C units kept things nice and cool when you wanted some respite from the heat. Towels and bedding changed as little or often as you requested. Alex, the host, and his team (Julia & Aleks) were exceptional in every aspect! From taking us to the supermarket on our first day, as we’d not yet organised a car, to telling us all the best places to go and what to see and do. Nothing was too much trouble. Anything you wanted - car hire, trips out, restaurant recommendations - you only had to ask and Alex would make it happen. Alex reached out before our stay offering to arrange transfers from the airport and took the time to personally speak to all of his guests. Anytime he wasn’t on site, he was always available via WhatsApp. The accommodation is a little out of the way - which is what we liked - but there was a beach, the harbour and a handful of restaurants (with spectacular views) within easy walking distance. We were there nearly 2wks and only had a car for a total of 5 non-consecutive days (which Alex organised for us, car was dropped off and collected again when ready to return), mostly for supermarket trips and to go further afield to sightsee. The island is less than 1hr drive end to end so nothing is too far away.

There was nothing about the property I didn’t like, but for my liking a supermarket closer would have made it 10/10 for me. There is a mini-market close by but it had limited choices and high prices.

We loved how rustic it was and having a pool just next to the apartment was fab

Air con was a bit noisy

Clean apartment outside area kepted spotless staff amazing

Air con was poor which meant the bedrooms were hot, uncomfortable mattress and tiny bathroom for four people to share

Loved that the host was very responsive and provided major locations and tourist attractions.

Great for families quiet but I do recommend renting a car.

The only downside was the wifi strength at least in our room but not like we stayed in much.

Thé apartment is very nice, smells great! The host is super helpful and kind!
