Palo Verde Sustainable Hotel

The hotel was great and clean. Meals were fantastic and most of the staff was friendly and attentive. They even ask if you want your room cleaned for the day which is really nice. They also have labelled cabanas for every room, which is efficient. They use metal straws and glass bottles for water to be sustainable. Really close to the beach with great views. The only thing I didn’t like was on my last day, I was settling my tab and was charged for something I didn’t order at the restaurant and if I hadn’t checked the bill it would have been charged so be aware of that if you start a tab with them.

The entire staff is super friendly and helpful. Abundant and delicious breakfast options that was included in our rate.

This property is a sustainable hotel located in El Zonte. I loved it! Such great food! I recommend everything, especially the banana foster pancakes! Yum! The room was clean! Warm water was no issue! Ac worked fantastic. What i thought was so neat was that they reserve a sun chair by the pool for your entire stay. That way theres no issues about finding seating by the pool. Its beach front. So amazing views of the surfers and directly walkable to shore. Love this hotel and their staff! Thank you! Cant wait to come back!

Staff at the front desk and Nan Tal were friendly and helpful whenever we had questions, and the housekeeping staff did a great job. The food was great, there wasn't a single thing we tried that we didn't like for breakfast and lunch/dinner. The location was nice, near several restaurants and some shops. I appreciate the hotel's commitment to sustainability.

These aren't things I didn't like but they are things I wasn't expecting and I figure some people might like to know: food was great but there weren't really traditional Salvi dishes or drinks offered, there were what I would call Salvi fusion items on the menu as well as things like burgers, tacos, etc., and there were a couple of brief (probably less than an hour) periods of time when we didn't have power and/or water.

Palo Verde is an amazing property. It is a boutique size hotel that sits right on El Zonte beach. My room overlooked the pool and the ocean. The El Salvadoran coast line is basically aligned east to west so that one gets a bit of sunrise and amazing sunsets. My room was a double queen and was very roomy. The bath/shower was good sized and very clean. While there is no refrigerator en suite there is a room safe available. I noticed some concerns in the reviews regarding the WiFi. The WiFi was solid during my stay and the AC worked perfectly. The staff that I interacted with were all very friendly and helpful. I ate a couple of meals in the restaurant, which has amazing views of the beach, and the food and service was great. There are lounge chairs that are situated along the pool. Each guest has an assigned lounge chair so that there is no hoarding or “saving” of pool side lounge chairs. I thought this was brilliant. The area around the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. It is a surfers community and after sunset and dinner it is really quiet. A short trip east is the village of El Tunco, “Surf City” which is a bit more built up and “touristy”. They communicate through WhatsApp and messaged me in the morning to see if I needed my room serviced. I thought that was a great way to do that. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Had a wonderful stay here, the property is very well maintained and staff is friendly.. Breakfast was great and the ocean view was lovely! The couple massage was amazing and a must do. Very relaxing stay .. I highly recommend this place! The only thing I would recommend is maybe a small refrigerator in the rooms… I just went across the street to the store for cold bottle water and beer.. Would definitely stay again!

We made a last minute booking because we were not pleased with our accommodations nearby at all, and while it is a pretty penny especially same-day, I have to say the INCREDIBLE staff, views, and amenities make it all worth it. The food isn't to be missed, either. I sincerely wish I had gotten the names of everyone working at the hotel during our stay, including the security and parking attendants, because everyone was beyond kind and helpful. Would not hesitate to book again, but probably a little notice would be better for everyone involved!
