'Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach

Great location, across the road from the beach and the statue of Duke which is in the hub of the action. Excellent hotel standards with a very impressive foyer. We would recommend friends to stay there and hopefully come back next year.

While the lobby and grounds are very nice, the carpet in the hallways and rooms are extremely dirty and worn out. The staff were very nice and accommodating, the cleaning staff is super nice and the beds are amazingly comfortable. What I will say that’s is rather disappointing is breakfast. It’s not very not very convenient and if you’re gonna partake, carve out some time. We had breakfast twice and waited over an hour between our order being taken and food arriving. The second day we had breakfast we waited an hour and a half. I know they’re busy, but this is an unfortunate aspect of the property. Outside this the property is an excellent option.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this hotel was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. I stayed in the Presidential Suite and paid well over $1,000 per night. If this is the level of service and quality offered to guests in one of the most expensive accommodations, I can only imagine what a standard room experience is like. The service throughout the property was practically nonexistent. Whether at the pool, restaurants, or elsewhere, staff members were unfriendly, unhelpful, and seemed completely uninterested in assisting guests. Even after raising concerns, the response I received was simply, “What am I supposed to do now?” The buffet was very poor and far below the standards expected from a luxury hotel. There were no meaningful perks or extras despite staying in the Presidential Suite, and even valet parking was charged separately. For the price paid, this is unacceptable. The pool area was dirty, overcrowded with children, and not relaxing at all. To make matters worse, I was given incorrect information on several occasions. One of the most concerning issues was the lack of security. I stayed in the penthouse on the highest floor, yet strangers were somehow able to come up and knock on my door without any key access or a call from reception. This was extremely alarming and showed a serious lack of security measures. At check-out, no one even bothered to ask how my stay had been perhaps because they already knew the answer. I have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world, including numerous 5- to 7-star properties, and I can honestly say that this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. It was so disappointing that it completely ruined the vacation feeling I had looked forward to. For the price charged, this hotel is simply not worth it. I would not recommend staying here.

Samantha was not very kind and failed to apologize for not having the room ready at check-in. They did provide $100 credit but honestly they should have apologized. I did like the maid- she was very nice! Valet was fine! Restaurant waitress was very hospitable!
