We stayed here in Aguas Calientes and had a frustrating experience due to inconsistent policies and overly strict noise expectations. The listing states there is no curfew, but when we arrived (after a delayed train at 10:30 PM), we were told the doors would be locked at 11 PM and we could not leave or re-enter. Because of this, we weren’t able to go out for dinner or enjoy the evening as planned, despite specifically adding an extra night in town. When we asked about this, we were told that if we wanted to stay out later, we should stay somewhere else, which felt dismissive given that the listing indicates there is no curfew. This was also concerning from a practical standpoint—if someone needed to step out for something urgent (for example, medication or food), it would not have been possible under these restrictions. We were also asked multiple times to keep noise down while simply talking quietly, eating, and even packing for an early 5:30 AM departure to Machu Picchu. No music or disruptive behavior—just normal conversation. At the same time, there was noticeable noise from outside (dogs barking, people talking, vehicles), which made the situation feel inconsistent and overly strict. Additionally, the shower water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold, which made it difficult to use consistently. There is also no elevator, and the stairways were dark at times, which made moving around with luggage early in the morning more difficult. Light also comes through the curtains at night, which made it harder to sleep. Overall, the lack of alignment between the listing and actual rules, along with repeated interruptions, significantly impacted our stay. We would not stay here again and recommend confirming policies directly with the property before booking, especially regarding curfew and quiet hours.

The staff were great, the room and bathroom were very clean. Location was good.

The only drawback with this room is that it faced onto the street and the single-glazed windows meant that we could hear absolutely everything and so didn't sleep very well. If your room doesn't face the road or you are a heavy sleeper then you should be fine.
