The hotel was so eclectic. Our room had a beautiful terrace which we put to good use. The hotel was a quick easy walk from the port. The breakfast was plentiful and located in a lovely garden area. I highly recommend Miranda Hotel.
It was such a beautiful hotel. Our terrace view was fantastic and it was very conveniently located. It had all the charm of the island.
This is a beautiful old captain’s house with a garden with beautiful flowers and trees where you can sit and relax and where breakfast is served. It is also a 5 minute walk up from the harbor so a very good location. There were two disappointments for me: first, I booked a ‘double/twin room with a balcony sea view’. What I got was a two room suite with two bathrooms. You might think this was good but it was not. The rooms were not half as nice as the true double/twin rooms (I peaked in a room while housekeeping was there) and we only used one of the rooms anyway so having that large a space was not an advantage. Our ‘balcony’ was actually the roof with HVAC units and a satellite dish and was accessible up a narrow spiral staircase with a 2 1/2 - 3 foot trap door at the top that you had to basically crawl through to get through. We had to pass wine bottles through first, and forget coffee. It was a struggle for both of us and we are not even remotely all. Too bad - I had high hopes for this hotel.

What an amazing treasure! Built in the early 1800’s, this magnificent hotel will have you feeling as though you are pure aristocracy! Beautiful rooms with hand painted ceilings and brimming with antiques. A must if you will be visiting Hydra!!
The place is welcoming from the moment you step in the little courtyard.... Very caring personnel, super clean, convenient easy reach to the port and amenities - I loved it so much - already planned the next stay ! Thank you to the wonderful miranda team !!!
It is a beautiful house full of wonderful corners and hidden gems like the island. The view was spectacular. It would have been nice to have a shower head instead of hand held but that is the only improvement I would suggest!
