Baymont by Wyndham Meridian

It was somewhere to try and sleep.

As soon as you walked in, it smelt like someone was smoking marijuana at the front desk. No smell outside, but once you were at the desk, the smell hit you. The room was dirty. Dirty shoe prints in the tub. Dirt on the sheets. Cigarette burns/holes in the sheets. There was only a fitted sheet on the bed and then the thin decorative sheet for the top layer. No flat sheet, nothing to actually cover up with. It was absolutely not worth the $100 spent. We were traveling through and literally only there from 3am to 6am. If we weren’t so exhausted, I was about to go up to the desk and asked for a refund and leave. I hope their cleaning crew can get it together and they can improve their facilities.

Staff was friendly and tried his best to fix problems, changed the tv remote control, and plugged the lamp from behind the tv cabinet. He could not fix the phone.

The first room assigned was not ready, bed was not made, and dirty. We were moved to another room where the phone was not working, lamps were not plugged, blankets were thin and sheets were wrinkled (didn’t look fresh), toilet paper holder were missing, bathtub did not look good, and no tissues/kleenex. The there was a sign on ice maker from the 2nd the noted it was not working and to use the 3rd floor ice maker but it was dirty and not working also. We gave up. The phone was not working b Breakfast was very basic, mostly carbs; gravy was unrecognizable (didn’t know what it was at first) and no coffee lids.

I rented the room for 4 people! There was 1 washcloth, 1 towel, and 1 hand towel in the room! Floors were dirty, the rug wasn't vaccumed. The mirror was nasty! The shower had hairs, the toilet paper sat on the back of the toilet, because the holders were broken. The AC made a horrible noise when it was running. There was no decaf coffee offered at breakfast. Ice maker on the 3rd floor wasn't functional. I've never had such a negative experience staying at a hotel!

For over $100 I kind of expected swept/vacuumed floors, clean counters, Blankets instead of two sheet's, HVAC that was clean/maintained and didn't break the sound barrier while operating, remote control/tv volume buttons that worked and receptacles that worked. My son and I could not sleep through the night due to waking up from the PTAC blower wheel noise and the absence of blankets. Even the sheets looked dirty and had hair on them, but they smelled clean. Everything was sticky with visible finger prints everywhere. I don’t typically leave reviews for anything, but this was a terrible experience.
