Residence Inn by Marriott Des Moines Ankeny

Need to ask next time if any concerts in area, had tv in room on max volume and still had a hard time hearing at times. Room was absolutely great. Will definitely stay again just wish new about the concert before booking.

Great location w lots to do within walking distance.

The room was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming. We had a good family time.

We are Marriott Gold Elite members and stay at Marriott all the time and were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. We stayed 5 nights with our family for a wedding. The hotel itself is new and clean but service & staff left a lot to be desired. At check in we didn’t arrive until 11pm and when we called a couple days before they asked if we would like the pullout bed ready for us because we were checking in late. When we arrived they hadn’t pulled down the bed and there wasn’t even bedding in the room. Apparently they don’t clean or refresh rooms at all anymore so when you we ran out of toilet paper or towels we had to go down to the front desk to get them. (Because they didn’t have any extra staff to bring them to us). Coffee is up at the front desk and they have to serve it. The problem with that was they were always in the back room each time we came up so we would wait for them and then someone else would come up and they would tell us to wait. The female front desk agents were just extremely rude. There were 2 males that were helpful and nice but the females were all horrible and should not be working for Marriott in our opinion. We would not stay here again ever.

Hotel is newer, and is nice. Room was wonderful. Pool was great because it was actually on the warmer side so you didnt have to shiver getting in. Staff was amazing and super nice. We love this hotel, will stay again

The housekeeper walked in my room at 9 and check out wasn’t until 11. Me and my husband was having a debate they sent the manager to my room for a domestic disturbance because we was African American went to the front desk to complain about the service she was so rude I was about to get in altercation with her will never return to this property
