Villaggio San Demetrio

What a lovely discovery only 15 min from the airport, perched high on a Sicilian hill overlooking the sea. This is absolutely my new go-to place to get away from the crowded metropolis. Private, modern bungalows, with a far west vibe. Wonderfully kind and charismatic owners. Felt like home right away.

Be sure to use the more traditional navigation tool, G maps, to arrive via the most accurate main roads.

The seaview from your bedroom and veranda is amazing and it's so peaceful. The beds are comfortable, the place is kept spotless and the staff is so friendly. I will definitely come back.

Road could be better

Wonderful views down to the coast with a nice cooling breeze. Christina who did the breakfasts and her charming 8 year old daughter Elise made our stay very enjoyable having chats over breakfast. When the swimming pool is finished that will be a major benefit to the place as it would be perfect for relaxing days by the pool.

The room, especially for British couples, lacked the essentials that would have made it much better such as a kettle for making that first thing cup of tea, a fridge, although Christina lent us a very small medical portable one and may be some basic utensils for making up some lunch time picnics. The road up to the place was horrendous for about half a mile, but Christina said that will be sorted in a month or two.

Unique accomodation, need to be experienced, we enjlyed it
