From the beginning to the end everything was perfect. The location, the place were very clean, good and in the center. The owner of the place is the best. He cares about the guests very well and really helpful. When we visit for the next time we will definitely choose this place again

We booked 2 large and charming king sized bedrooms for the 3 of us (adults), & both rooms had private bathrooms. The baths were updated in space, with plenty of hot water & fabulous water pressure. However (typical to traditional B&B's) they were not ensuite & had no A/C; which would have been welcomed in the unusual June heat. The bedrooms though, were equipped with new model A/C units for the win! Igor welcomed us upon arrival with water and treats and shared a bit of his family history - this gem was his grandfather's childhood home - His recommendation for dinner at Il Commercial around the block was a hit, as well as the walk over to Etnea to explore the main part of beautiful Catania. We sure got our steps in, so wear sneakers for sure. We loved stumbling on museums, city squares, markets, eateries and even an international dance competition.

It was wonderful to experience an authentic apartment in Catania. The coffee and breakfast were wonderful. Igor made a special effort to provide a gluten free breakfast for me. Restaurant recommendation was outstanding.

What an amazing piece of history! The B&B used to be the host, Igor’s grandfather’s, is rich in layers of family stories. From the antiques on the floor, to the art on the walls, and the lovely vintage lighting hanging from the 20 metre ceilings, it is a wonderful place to be steeped in old Sicily. Igor is a lovely, warm and attentive host, great to communicate with, and so thoughtful. He had Sicilian pastries, drinks and espresso waiting for us upon arrival, and gifted us with a mini travel kit as a departing gift. A highlight of our stay was entering through the magnificent storey-high iron doors that led to the original lift. It felt like we were in a movie!

It wasn’t an issue for us, but might be useful to know for others that our room didn’t have a self-contained bathroom. Access was through the kitchen.

I liked absolutely everything! From check-in to check-out! Igor is a very friendly, attentive and friendly person! The apartment has Italian charm! For breakfast there is always fresh and very tasty pastries, coffee, juices. The room is very clean and smells nice, fresh bed linen and towels every morning! In addition to breakfast, Igor always treated us to sweets and made pleasant surprises! Igor always took care of our comfort! We are very pleased with our stay with this wonderful owner! Thank you Igor for such a wonderful meeting and service!! And even on the day of departure, at 6:40 a fresh, delicious breakfast was already waiting on the table!! We were pleasantly surprised!! Thank you for everything, we will definitely meet again!

Everything was lovely, helped me with the location and even though we didn't speak each other's language we managed and it was a pleasant and relaxing stay

The bathroom is off the kitchen, through some shaded glass doors. Like a frosted glass greenhouse. it's a bit odd. I didn't mind too much but if you're not so comfortable it's something to be aware of.
