We were lead to believe that we had a private room. It is unlike a hotel, it is an apartment that that you share with a stranger. As mentioned in the description it has a shared kitchen but we were unaware we had a shared apartment. Not only were we upset by the arrangements but the poor guy who arrive after us was shocked to find he was sharing an apartment. He immediately called to complain but was told that it is clearly explained in the description….read the description yourself. He was told that if he or I were unhappy we could leave but there would be not refund. He then called me with the same proposition. After our “room mate” left a lady arrived to lock the door of the unused bedroom. I have travelled for more than 50 years, have been to 65 countries and have stayed in many strange places but this takes the prize. The owner or manager…never quite clear on that,was uncooperative and was adamant that it was our mistake and not his. Again read the description… As far as I am concerned the ad is unclear, and tantamount to false advertising. There was no effort to deescalate the situation, he basically said screw you , I have your money and you can stay or leave. BTW the other guest was Portuguese so our complaint were not subject to misinterpretation due to language barriers. Just beware of this misrepresentation.

Peaceful and nice place in the middle of the wineyards. Nice swimming pool, good beds and equipped shared kitchen. Short way to Lisbon airport. The host family was extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks Sergio for the advice for good bird watching places!

The high humidity in the rooms caused some discomfort with the clothes (mid Nov).
