No ice Room near barking dog Unpleasant reception

the room was brand newly remodeled. Beautiful new refrigerator with a freezer and microwave. New furniture. The room had a walk-in shower, which was what I wanted, but the bathroom itself was tiny. Just enough room for a shower and toilet. The sink was outside of the bathroom next to the room door. Odd but workable.

I would have preferred the sink in the bathroom but that is minor. I was not impressed by the breakfast. I entered just about 8am and observed standard La Quinta fare only less of it. In the bread area I observed 1 slice of bread, 2 bagels and a couple of muffins. All looking very old and sad. The standard "make your own waffles" and then the hot entrees: eggs and sausage. That was it. Not a lot of options for those who cannot eat sausage for their protein. The whole dining experience was disappointing at best, particularly after the great room experience.

We all enjoyed the available breakfast bar. The room was plenty spacious for the three of us. The room temperature made the room more enjoyable while we watched TV after the soothing hot tub that was there! LOVED THAT!

The mattress/ bed was not very comfortable, NOT allowing us to feel rested for the rest of our road trip. There were no little extra perks, such as coffee or little makeup remover packs. It really is the little things.

Staff were friendly and while the room was clean, they couldn’t say if pets stayed in it at some time. Some people have allergies to dander and it sticks on the box springs and other areas.

No rooms that were pet free. I mean totally pet free. We were on the third floor and shared the elevator with two large dogs. Also heard one whining during the night.
