Fairfield Inn Owensboro

Had issues checking in. We were til by hotel we couldn’t check in. Spent 20 minutes on phone with agent at hotels.com between her calling hotel and talking to us. Finally got things fixed.

The updates they're making to the property are great! Room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was great, too. They were actively working on improvements while we were there.

Rooms were Wrong rooms, staff did best they could considering they were sold out. Had to have kids sleep on floor, they are under new construction so our room was new carpet. Woke up next morning and ants all over the room.

The location in Owensboro is perfect.

Everything is under construction, the parking lot is small, we got really bad rains that turned to snow the morning we were suppose to leave. We were woken up to fire alarms and being evacuated due to mechanical room issues on our last morning. The window in our room must’ve leaked because the carpet was absolutely soaked upon waking the last morning during evacuating. This was our valentines stay, first overnight trip we’ve taken in years! When I called the front desk to communicate our displeasure, we were met with “ I can’t do anything about this but I’ll tell my manager” We’ve never received a call back from management either and that was four days ago. Poor customer service.

When i booked this room i paid in full. So i get there and the pool is closed for maintenance. They are doing construction so the parking is limited to all the bins being in the parking lot. As i go to checkout the lady said i had to give them my card cause they havent been paid i showed them that i was paid in full so the receptionist said i would have to pay again and then have expedia refund my money. This is unacceptable.it should have mentioned the pool was closed on the website so i could have gotten a cheaper room or chose one that actually had a pool. The only reason they get any stars is the rooms are nice with nice beds.

This property is undergoing a lot of construction. The pool is not open in mid Feb at the time of this review. The bed and room was perfectly fine and the check in process was seamless; thanks Austin. Overall, 4/5 but I’d stay here again once the construction is finished.

Outdated. Had to vacate due to electrical fire they couldn’t find. The power went out. Not a way to wake up at 6:30AM

A lot of construction was going on, so there was dealing with that wasn’t ideal.

It says it has a pool that's why I booked it after check in was told pool was closed pool was closed so we just left I live less thin 5 mins from there but only wanted to swim so I got another hotel down the road with a pool that was opened
