Beautiful and historic hotel.

We thought it was in downtown Louisville. It was on the outskirts in historic area that seemed a bit mixed in terms of safety. They did have a security officer at front entrance. We also thought mattresses and pillows could have been higher grade.

"OK. But cost did not match the experience."

Liked the bed and bath robes. Room was nicely decorated.

The room was nice but the elevator was too close and you could hear every time it came and went. Also there was a door to an adjoining room and you could hear everything going on in the other room. Expected more from a luxury king room.

"Couples weekend getaway"

The Brown Hotel is perfect for a weekend getaway. The rooms are spacious and clean. The drinks are delicious and the bar staff is friendly and efficient. The pianist is an added touch to a very nice evening!
