"I would stay here again"

So elegant and beautiful, good location

The bathroom was not perfectly clean. And yes, while I understand perfection isn’t always easily attainable, wiping off a mirror and cleaning a sink to completion really is a simple task.

The history, design, location, guest services are all very nice

It is in need of an update. Lots of carpets are either too worn to clean, paint on trim, TVs need updated. We were on 8th floor and shower took forever to warm up and not much water pressure at all.

"Loved the lobby, the piano player, the restaurant. the rooms are tired"

The hotel lobby is beautiful. The room is old and the headboard was not attached so it banged everytime we turned in the bed. No lotion or nice appointments. It was just ok

the room is tired we were in 1103. head board was broken bed not very comfortable pillows tired

There was no heat room was freezing When we called for them to come to the room to check what was wrong they sent a man to bring us a room heater He told us their boiler was broken

"Charming historic hotel near concert venue"

The Brown Hotel is an older, historic hotel in downtown Louisville. If you are looking for a modern facility near restaurants and shopping, the Brown is not for you. But if you appreciate lodging with charm and unique architecture/ period fixtures, then the Brown might be an interesting choice for you. We were there the week of the KY Derby, so the festivities were just getting started. We were seeing a show at the Brown Theater close by, so that was convenient

Pricey overall—very limited, expensive parking. Not much within walking distance.
