great location and relatively quiet

For a mid-level hotel, this is five stars! I've never had such fluffy towels, even at a luxury hotel. The bedding is great, and it was the first time I had seen the separate double duvets, without sheets. They were very soft and comfortable, but I did miss the top sheet as the duvet was a little too warm. Some may find the pineapple theme a little hokey but I loved it and whoever did the graphic design is brilliant. It's quirky and darling. Even the toilet paper looks like a pineapple LOL ( but don't worry it doesn't feel like one and it's standard toilet paper!) It's in a great location that's convenient to campus and shops and cafes and public transit. The only thing that I did not like was the added Resort fee, which, given that you can't use the pool 80% of the time in Seattle because it's raining or overcast, and there's no hot tub, and the same thing with the bikes, and the "sweet treats" hour in the afternoon is just cute pineapple decorated cookies from Safeway, I'd rather they just include the fee in the price if they're going to do that. The only real extra perk you're getting is a free drink from the cooler, and that is certainly not worth 20 bucks. I appreciate it that there was both the fridge and a microwave and also a safe, and the employees were all friendly. I highly recommend!

Check in was fast and easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and ready for me to be there for the single night stay. The hotel is directly across the street from the UW, which is why I stay there. Close to where I need to go and secure parking (even though they make sure you know that they don't guarantee the security of your vehicle!). It is a four block walk to the street with LOTS of options for dining. This is a college town, so options are plentiful and the food is good!

The issue that was not explained was that the door to the patio was permanently locked due to safety concerns. It would have been nice to know that. The AC unit was pretty noisy as well and I figured I could live with it for the single night I was there. I should have asked to change rooms bcz of the noise of the AC unit.
