Hotel Rohan

We are a group of 6-8 People and we were the second time here. And we will come back again - that say all!

The Hotel Rohan in the heart of Strasbourg is a wonderful hotel to stay. Just steps from the Cathedral of Notre Dame, shops, and great restaurants. Highly recommended.

We were a large family group, across a wide range, coming together from three European countries, plus Australia and South Africa. Two knew Strasbourg fairly well, and have form for finding lovely hotels, so we knew it was a no-brainer to commit to their recommendation of the Hotel Rohan. It’s a modern hotel in the attractive old part of the city, close to the Tourist Office, the Cathedral and near to many of Strasbourg's key attractions including several museums and the river. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable. There's an exceptionally generous breakfast on offer with a wide range of choices that ought to satisfy everybody. Staff were extremely helpful, thoughtful hosts and good linguists. There is space in the public area to gather in, while waiting for the rest of your group to appear. P.S. Being near the Cathedral, means you can easily get your bearings. Just look up for the spire and find your way back to the hotel.

They doubled the price due to christmas and new year. My review is based on that, definitely not worth that price. Reception girl knew nothing, hardly spoke english, no parking help. Probably got the wrong room, reception promised to compensate for this, never heard from them though. Clean hotel.

If you’re planning a trip to Strasbourg and need to book accomodation, look now further than the Rohan. Perfect location! An easy walk to the old town and places of interest and very close to the cathedral.

The triple room suite was incredible! We stayed over Christmas and they even put a Christmas tree in our room.

The staff at the reception was excellent! Extremely helpful! However, the toilet is filthy! I was rather shocked! The toilet bowl was black. Things were floating! My son even refused to use it. The sink is stained yellow. Found a hair in the shower! I did informed the reception. Yet, the cleanliness of the bathroom did not improve. As if the Housekeeping has never heard of bleach! The cupboards smelled like wet dogs! I am very sorry about the complaint. For a fantastic hotel with such excellent staff who was always willing to assist in any query I had, I feel quite horrid to write negatively. The location couldn't be better. The breakfast was fabulous! They really need to housekeeping in order! Will I come back tj the hotel again. I am not sure.

We went to Strasbourg at the height of the Christmas Market season. The Hotel Rohan could not have been more in the center of it. This proved to be both convenient and frustrating. Convenient because you walk out the door to a wonderful winter wonderland of food, gift and drink stalls. Frustrating because it’s sooooo busy, sometimes you have a literal struggle walking down the narrow street to the hotel. As far as the hotel itself, if you’re used to the size of a big city European hotel, you’ll be pleasantly surprised about the size of the rooms. They’re clean and shockingly quiet for a busy location. The check in desk doubles as the bar, so sometimes services in the lobby is slow. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again.
