"Didn’t get to stay and was not notified of hotel being overbooked prior to arrival. Paid in advance too"

Upon arriving at this property, we were stalled while the front desk lady Kristen was “looking” up my reservation. I had booked this reservation through booking.com and paid in advance. Kristen advised that the hotel was overbooked after finally taking my last name. I was advised I could not stay and my money was in “limbo.” I’m truly disgusted with how this was handled. I was not contacted about the hotel being overbooked prior so I could cancel like they state you can. This was truly unprofessional, and what a waste of time after traveling to get to this location.
