The room itself was great; clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and did their best to ensure good communication and to address any potential issues. The location was fantastic and allowed for seamless travel within Downtown Vancouver and the surrounding suburbs; only a 8-10 minute walk from the main SkyTrain station and multiple bus stops within a couple blocks' walk.

The particular room I got was highly unfortunate; the entire view was the tiny, unsightly gap between this hotel and the neighboring hostel. Not the staff's fault whatsoever; in fact they attempted to source a different room to no avail when I brought this up. If you enjoy the city view as much as I do, keep in mind that about a third of the rooms at this hotel will face a brick wall when booking.

Rooms were comfortable and tastefully designed, though on the smaller side. Staff were friendly and generally helpful, and service was reasonably prompt during our stay. However, the hotel lacks a proper driveway for car or bus pick-up and drop-off, which makes arrival and departure inconvenient. Guests also need to carry luggage up a short flight of steps to reach the reception area, which can be challenging when travelling with heavier bags. The surrounding environment can also be a little noisy, so it may not be ideal for travellers looking for a quieter stay. Overall, a decent option for location and comfort, but some design and access limitations affect the overall experience.

We had a great stay at the Belmont, our second experience with an MGallery brand. The top floor had a great city view which was quiet especially at night. Housekeeping was very thorough and attentive. The one bedroom suite is also very aesthetic and comfortable, and the hotel had a distinct pleasant scent. Breakfast was consistent - while limited, it was great as we had fruits and healthy selection. Most importantly, the location was nearby many food choices (that were open until late) and walking distance to shopping areas, tourist locations, bus stops and metro. Greatly appreciated the help from the team, from Sangay & Takaaki who helped fix the admin side of things before we arrived, and of course Hitesh who checked us in and helped sort out a problem we had right before check-out. Highly recommended. Will definitely be staying here again.
