Affordable Suites Shelby

Check in was very slow but Denise was friendly so we liked that. However, we chose this hotel bc of the kitchen amenities. When we got in, there were NO pots or pans or silverware or plates. Nothing to use for a kitchen meal! There were 2 TVs and neither one worked. We let Denise know but no one came to fix them. We stayed for 3 nights. Also the temp only went down to 68 and no fan to pump the AC. The room did not cool at all so sleeping was fairly miserable. Pillows were flat as pancakes. All in all we will not be back. When I did research to book a room with a kitchen, this hotel has 9.2 rating. I have no idea how. Carpets were stained and cats everywhere outside. Made allergies act up something terrible.

Room was fairly clean. We stayed 3 nights. Shower curtain had mold on the bottom. The toilet bowl seat was broken to where it moved when you sat on it. And it wasn't clean around the Toilet bowl very well. No soap/shampoo was provided in the bathroom. And no remote for the living room tv. The room was not cleaned while we were there and no fresh towels either. There were no Kitchen accessories. They don't provide towels but once a week we were told, which was strange because we were guest. The lady at the desk did give us fresh towels and wash clothes from her room when we asked. I can't say for sure, but I don't think the bed sheets were changed for the next quest either. It just didn't look like it. It did look like most of the people lived there and not as guests. The lady at the desk was very sweet and the place was quiet enough though. Which was a blessing. All in all, I can't say it wasn't pleasant because it was, but it could use better management in all areas. I put 2 stars because of the shower curtain, which you could not miss if you cleaned the bathroom or the seat. Yes, it was that bad. and kitchen and other things that I wrote above.

I did not stay. They cancelled, said expedia overbooked. Waiting for a refund for that from Expedia.
