Prima kamer en qua ligging voor de stad top.

Parkeren was wel drama. Niet genoeg plekken voor het hele hotel. Zogezegd gratis parkeren en een deel betaald. Nou 5 plekjes gratis en de overige 30 zijn betaald. Plus niet genoeg plek. In het weekend kan je gelukkig wel deels gratis parkeren aan de weg.

Thank you to the tall young man on the desk tonight. We arrived just before the front desk closed, with no booking, frazzled after having car trouble and not confident to keep driving home to the country. He was helpful, calm and even carried our bags to our room. He allocated a large accessible carpark to us in case we needed RAA support in the morning to get home.

Location, room and bed were fine but difficult to enjoy.

This room had an adjoining door to the next room which was not sound proofed. The adjoining room had 3 adults and 2 children and while the policy was 'for quiet' after 10pm in the 4 nights we stayed they were not quite. After being out all day and hoping to relax in our room we had to listen to their noise and arguing. Requests to change rooms were made after the first night but no other rooms similar to the one we had booked were available. All staff could do was to enforce policy which was not successful. Staff explained that this sort of thing had happened before. If so, why did they not make efforts to soundproof the rooms for the comfort of all future visitors?!.

Nice clean and comfortable rooms. Has an old world charm that hasn’t changed in decades. Fondly remember eating here as a kid and the restaurant looks exactly the same. Certainly not tired just timeless. Good location with plenty to see, do and eat nearby.
