Royal Majestic Hotel Durban

Proximity of the hotel to where I needed to be. Spacious rooms. Calmness of staff even in times of stress.

Minor details of ensuring that rooms are turned up earlier and that phones in rooms work.

The room was very spacious. I appreciated the views. The bed was big and comfy and the breakfast was simple buffet style with all the necessaries and extras. The gym was well set up and clean. The staff were super helpful and I look very forward to coming back

I was not orientated on check-in. No info on restuarant - openings, access, other favilities, etc. Bath tub faulty- house keeping never came to clean after maintenance Asked for a blanket - housekeeping never provided Carpet not cleaned - previous user had cut nails and when not cleaned

Location depends on ur purpose We were there for the comrades so location was 10/. 10 walk to the start on the up run.

Restaurant was good. Comfortable beds.

Overall welcome wasn't what what I would expect for a 4-5 star hotel. I expected to be helped with my luggage or being offered a trolley than people just looking at struggling with bags. It looks like the bookings are mostly done by bigger groups so the restaurant would be packed and noisy. Not that it affected the dishes but that resulted in having an overcrowded restaurant during my 3 day stay.
