Mostly a staff-less system where you get a text message with check-in instructions. Nice cafe on main level with nice staff and great food.

Lots of dump trucks at 6am waking us up each morning, as well as homeless people yelling at times. The shower and toilet situation was also pretty basic. There is an air conditioning unit located under the only table in the room that makes sitting at the table a freezing experience.

Location is great, easy to get in and out. Entry way is spacious. Appreciate how eco friendly the toilet is.

The amount of water that pours out of shower due to shower curtain defeats the eco friendly aspect in my opinion. Either bed frame needs to be replaced or needs lubrication because there was a constant creek when on it. Mattress itself has a dip.

Central, easy location to get around the city. Perfect point to go anywhere

Seems incomplete in its construction. Although not badly done, I’m not sure they put attention as to how to construct different pieces of the room when they subdivided each unit.

the elevator requires a code

me and my friend went on a girls trip to San Diego. Based on the photos, the place looks very upscale, modern and clean. The exact opposite was what we were encountered with when we entered the room not only was it not ocean view as listed, the walls around the bathroom were literally just screwed in plywood. The floors were concrete. Water damage to wall in bathroom. NOTHING like the photos.

It was next to an Seven Eleven there were homeless mentally ill people there. It was scary to walk around.

Four things were outstanding. First, the location could not have been better: very short walking distance to restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Second, the room had huge windows with amazing 5th floor views of the city. Third, the little restaurant downstairs had great coffee and a very good breakfast. Fourth, the price was very reasonable for the location.

The problem is that I had no access to TV or WiFi during my three-night stay. While there was a large-screen Tv in the room, there was no remote control so there was no way to use the TV. Compounding that problem is that there was really nobody to complain to. There is no "front desk." You check in using your phone and are given access codes and wi-fi passwords, but nobody seems to be in charge. I finally managed to find someone but they simply confirmed that they couldn't find the remote either. Nothing was done. The wi-fi password I was given by text did not work, either, so I had to use the internet with my own hotspot. The room, while surrounded by huge windows with great views, was very spare. And it really needed a paint job. Basically, this place would be terrific if it had some management and some onsite personnel who actually take care of problems.
