Nordic City Studio

The location was great. Safe neighborhood, 7 blocks to main downtown/stockkmann/esplanade. Food and coffee nearby everywhere. Markets/grocery everywhere. Good sized apartment. Beds were comfortable. Clean. Basic kitchen amenities for cooking. Sauna was smaller but nice and worked well. Water pressure was excellent. Washing machine was very small but worked well. No dryer- ha g to dry on warmed towel bar or inside.sauna on a provided rack. Had a lovely enclosed balcony. Couch was large and comfortable. Had a nice dining room. Windows opened, which was nice for if apartment got a little warm. Obtaining the key was as described. Had drip coffee maker and a tea kettle, microwave. Apartment was quiet. Toilet paper provided. Coffee grounds and filter paper were present... we bought more to replace. Loads of cabinets for storing your stuff during the trio/stay.

The apartment had no paper towels or hand towels. (4 bath towels provided). Spices would have been nice in kitchen, not essential for most people but if you want to cook for a short trip and you need to buy salt/pepper/cinnamon/ etcetera it is wasteful and $$$. No scissors in apartment..... needed them. One of the double bed bedroom cabinet doors was coming off its hinges.

Location (Mikonkatu 18) is next to central train station . Walking distance to old market hall, old senate square, etc . Plenty of cafe, eateries nearby . Staff is responsive to all questions pose.

The kitchen & toilet need upgrading .

Plenty of space and good location

Apartment looks very 'tired' and could do with a teally good clean. Instructions are not very clear on how to get into the apartment as there are 3 blocks and initially we tried to get into someones else's apartment. Really comfy beds though and its a really quiet area, so you will get a really good nights sleep after a long day of sight seeing. Some kind of welcome pack would be nice which just gave some details on getting around, places to eat and local supermarkets. The apartment is actually in a good location even though it doesn't feel like it. The 7 or 9 tram will get you pretty much anywhere you need to go and its just 2 minutes down the street.

Keys in a lock box is at Apartment office which is about 1 km away from actual apartment .. so it is bit inconvenient esp. for travellers coming from outside the country to be able to communicate 2 difference address . . and also at the apartment location there isn't any parking even for cabs

The elevator Clean and comfy

The difficulty to get key, which was not where it should have been. Then trying to get to accommodation - would be easier if they were at the property already. This made it difficult to a new city, it was dark and snowing.

Location was excellent. Walkable. Great proximity to central station. Lift was helpful. Facilities were great. Host was responsive and helpful. Easy to check in.

It would be great to have some information left at the apartment explaining what you needed to do for public transport eg where to buy tickets etc

The apartment had decent cleanliness, beds were comfortable. There was enough of space for 4 people. Basic amenities and utensils were provided. There is a bidet 😀 Apartment is quiet because of the location. It is a 5 minute walk to the tram and 10 minute walk to the railway station. Apartment complex seems old but there is an old school elevator in the apartment complex. We were able to communicate to host easily on WhatsApp.

The separate toilet is small. The check- in process was a bit inconvenient if you are bringing luggages. We had to collect the physical key (only given one) at a separate location and you might have trouble locating the actual apartment (as it is located in a residential apartment complex) since it was not indicated on the booking.com site and only provided before your arrival

Dirty, especially under the bed. Tiny toilet area and inconveniently separated from the shower area. No detergent was supplied to use when washing clothes. Host agreed to bring some detergent but never received. dirty dishes from previous tenant were left in dishwasher
